Identification of evergreen trees and conifers

Saturday 15th February 2:00 pm

My previous walk to study conifers at The Cemetery looked at the many varieties, especially of the cypress family. I will be looking at some of these again but also showing some of the many evergreen broad-leaved trees and shrubs that have either been planted or have self-sown, especially with the aid of birds. Evergreen species tend to have flourished thanks to the recent trend to  milder and wetter winter weather and drier and hotter summer conditions. Most species won’t be in flower in February, but the leaves and other features are usually readily identifiable. So come and join me and learn more.
