Phill BuddI will be running my annual fungus walk in the old cemetery. This is quite a late date because these days fungi are appearing later with the cooler, wetter weather. The cemetery is well recorded for fungi, but I still seem to find new species every time I go there in the autumn. The great variety of trees and the plentiful supply of dead wood and leaf litter is very favourable to fungi, especially where things have not been tidied up too much. There are interesting grassland fungi too because the cemetery has not been sprayed with chemicals. Please come and join me among the parasols, blewits, funnel caps, tough shanks, brackets, puffballs, waxcaps, and agarics, to learn so much more about these fascinating seasonal species. We might call off the walk in the event of heavy rain and/or strong winds
