On Friday 31 July, just after 7.00pm, outgoing Chairman Billy Ferguson opened proceedings for the 2026 Annual General Meeting. A good number of members attended, and all voted in favour of the same FoSOC Committee. FoSOC now also has a Vice Chair. Unfortunately, the Chairman did not break his record of 25 minutes, as there was a great deal to discuss and many questions were raised. A unanimous vote was taken to appoint FoSOC Co-Founder Geoff Watts as a Vice President. Geoff had been unable to attend due to a prior engagement, but he was aware of the proposal. He later emailed to say that he was both pleased and delighted.
