Once again FoSOC was pleased to see Starling Bank back at the Old Cemetery helping out, and what a good job they did. About 16 members of the Bank helped out yesterday (5th August) splitting into two groups. One group clearing one area, off the Yew Tree pathway, of ivy, bramble, and a few overgrown shrubs. Another smaller group was helping with the racking of the strimmed grass and packing it into bags, then taking the bags to the compost heap. All this was a great help to FoSOC, as you can see by the photos, plus FoSOC ‘taskers’ continuing with strimming areas and trimming hedging (checked for birds nesting beforehand) as well.
