Some time ago Bernard very kindly donated all of his wonderful sketches of memorial headstones in ‘Southampton Old Cemetery’ to FoSOC. Unfortunately at the time we had nowhere to safely store them but since then a member has come forward and offered secure, temperature controlled storage space at his home. These sketches were all painstakingly done by Bernard over a period of nearly ten years and number well over two hundred. The majority are black and white pen and ink although he did experiment in the early days with various other mediums including colour washes.
