Task Day 7th December

Sunday 8th December 2019

Yesterday’s Task day was attended by over 17 eager FoSOC members wanting to work as much as possible in what turned out to be a warm sunny morning, especially after the awful wet weather the previous day.
The chipper was out in full force – chipping all the cut down branches from area where Sq Leader Edwin Moon’s grave is situated, which now enable the sightline to be achieved in this area. The FoSOC members were tasked with finishing off the area in front of the Non- Conformist Chapel, where the SCC trimmed as much as they could but left a fair few storks from the cut bramble, the area now looks tidied. Other areas that where tackled where not far from the last Officer from the Battle of Waterloo William Hewett and, for the safety in walking in the Old Cemetery nearly all of the fallen leaves (and there was a lot of them) were blown away from the main pathways.
Refreshments were festive and well received at break time, where the FoSOC members chatted amongst themselves before going back to their tasks for a ‘wee’ while longer.
Well done everyone! Many thanks for your continued support and help.
Next Saturday Task Day 4th January 2020.
