Commonwelath War Grave Visit
Thursday 23rd May 2019
Yesterday (22nd May) and today Commonwealth War Graves (CWGs) Gardeners were at the Old Cemetery.
This time to restore and add a CWG headstone to Kate Trodd VAD nurse grave, who died in 1919 aged 20, it now looks great and an extra piece of the kerbing was located buried deep in the grave.
The CWG Gardeners were also in the Old Cemetery to clean some of the CWG headstones that for some time have become rather dirty, hopefully over the next few weeks or so the headstones will start to look a lot cleaner.
