Widlflower & Butterfly Walk

Sunday 7th April 2019

On a warm and sunny afternoon well over 35 members of the public were taken on a tour of the Old Cemetery by John Vetterlein’s ‘Wildflower & Butterfly Walk’.
This was John’s first walk of the year as unfortunately, the actual first one in March was cancelled due to bad weather. Today, the Old Cemetery was an abundance of Fauna and Flora, just waiting for John to locate them.
The butterflies, Brimstone, Orange Tip and Comma were in a dancing mood which made them very hard to capture on camera but one Speckle wood did stop long enough to have its picture taken.
Order of the photos;
Green Alchemy, Laurel, Germander Speedwell with Yellow Eldinvine, Primroses (again) with Eldinvine, Wild Strawberries, White/Blue Bells with Wooden Anemones, Box Tree, Wild Cherry Tree, Greater Stitchwort, Speckle Wood Butterfly, Bay tree, June Berry, Gorse and finally London Plane Tree.
The walk ended with a very well-deserved applause to John. Many thanks to John.
Next Wildflower & Butterfly Walk 5th May.
