FoSOC’s ‘Open Day’ @ the Hawthorns
Saturday 29th September 2018
FoSOC’s ‘Open Day’ @ the Hawthorns and what a day this was!
With everything against the opening, Music in the City, parts of the M27 closed to Open day at the University is was a lovely surprise to see so many members of FoSOC turn up and even more members of the public coming to search for their family graves within all the Cemeteries of Southampton.
With the help of Jackie Chandler, Steuart Thompson, Billy and Val Ferguson the displays were set up, arranging from the Titanic to John Ross and to the First World War plus many photos of the Old Cemetery.
Helpers, included, Yvonne Blatchford, Derek and Sue Steward plus Cris Lewis and her daughter Ana…. Many thanks to all of you.
