Open Day 14th April & Titanic Walk 15th April

Saturday 14th April 2018

1st Open Day of 2018
Unfortunately, it clashed with the Fun Run in the morning, Saints playing at home - kick off 12.30 and the Grand National but this did not deter the friends from carrying on. Many FoSOC members popped in and even stayed for a chat. Bernard Lavell was on hand to paint your 'Silhouettes', the displays included many items on the Titanic, WW1 and the John Ross model given to FoSOC by Joy Plummer.
Many thanks for all the members who helped today and especially to FoSOC Chairman Billy who even managed to hobble in for a 'wee' while.

'Titanic Walk' will be held on the following day 15th April @ 2. 00 pm.
This memorial walk will visit selected sites in the cemetery. The sites are not clustered together so a good amount of walking is involved, some of it being on uneven narrow paths, so we regret that this particular walk is not suitable for those with walking difficulties. Because of the nature of cemetery paths, the number able to be taken on the walk has to be restricted. Please bear in mind that weather conditions can change during a walk so please ensure you dress appropriately and strong footwear is recommended. In the event of adverse weather, for health or safety reasons or other circumstances beyond our control we may have to cancel at short notice.
